This Website is operated by:
Paulius Vengialis Trading as Vengialis Ceramics Vilnius, Lithuania Email: paulius@vengialis-ceramics.com
Paulius Vengialis is a self-employed individual (sole trader) registered in the Republic of Lithuania and is the legal entity responsible for all sales made through this Website.
All pieces sold on this Website are handmade by Paulius Vengialis using wheel-throwing techniques and individually developed glazes. Each item is a unique, one-of-a-kind work of art.
Natural variation: Because every piece is hand-thrown and individually fired, slight differences in form, colour, surface texture, or glaze response are intrinsic to the nature of the work and are not considered defects.
Photography: Every effort is made to photograph pieces accurately. However, colour rendering may vary slightly depending on your screen calibration and viewing conditions.
Availability: All items are listed as single units. Once an order is placed and confirmed, the piece is removed from sale. We are unable to supply a second identical item.
By placing an order on this Website, you confirm that:
You are at least 18 years of age, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian;
The information you provide at checkout (name, shipping address, contact email) is accurate and complete.
An order constitutes an offer to purchase. A binding contract is formed when you receive an order confirmation email from Vengialis Ceramics. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order at our discretion — for example, if a piece is no longer available or if payment cannot be verified — in which case any payment taken will be refunded in full.
All prices are displayed in Euros (€) and are inclusive of any applicable Lithuanian VAT where required by law. Prices do not include shipping, which is calculated and displayed at checkout before payment.
Accepted payment methods: Credit/debit card, Google Pay and Apple pay, processed securely via Stripe. Vengialis Ceramics does not store or have access to your payment card details.
International customs and duties: For orders shipped outside the European Union, customs duties, import taxes, and carrier handling fees may be levied by the destination country. These charges are entirely the buyer's responsibility. Vengialis Ceramics has no control over such charges and cannot predict their amount.
We ship worldwide. Estimated delivery times displayed at checkout are indicative only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to carrier capacity, customs processing, or other circumstances outside our control.
Dispatch: Orders are typically dispatched within 3 business days of payment confirmation. A shipping notification with tracking information will be sent once your parcel is on its way.
Packaging: All pieces are packed with care using appropriate protective materials to minimise the risk of transit damage.
Risk: Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon delivery to the address provided at checkout.
Failed delivery: If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect address supplied by the buyer, or because collection was not made within the carrier's holding period, the cost of re-shipment is the buyer's responsibility.
6.1 EU / EEA Customers — Statutory Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the statutory right to withdraw from your purchase without giving any reason within 14 calendar days of the date you (or a person you nominate) receive the item.
To exercise this right, notify us before the 14-day period expires by emailing [your contact email] and clearly stating your intention to return the item and your order number. You then have a further 14 days from that notification to return the item to us.
Return conditions:
The item must be returned in its original, undamaged condition, securely and adequately packaged.
Return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility. We recommend using a tracked and insured service, as we cannot accept liability for parcels lost or damaged in return transit.
Once the item is received and inspected, a refund of the purchase price (excluding the original outbound shipping cost) will be issued within 14 days using the same payment method as the original purchase.
6.2 Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
Custom or commission pieces made to your individual specifications (see Section 8);
Items that have been damaged, used, or altered after delivery.
6.3 Customers Outside the EU / EEA
The EU statutory right of withdrawal does not extend to customers outside the EU/EEA. However, if you are an international customer and have a genuine concern about your order, please contact us within 14 days of delivery. We will consider requests on a case-by-case basis.
If your order arrives damaged in transit, or with a manufacturing defect, please contact us at paulius@vengialis-ceramics.com within 7 days of delivery and include:
Your order number;
A description of the issue;
Clear photographs of the item and the outer packaging.
We will assess the case and propose an appropriate remedy, which may include a refund, partial refund, or replacement (subject to availability). Return shipping costs for confirmed defective or transit-damaged items will be covered by Vengialis Ceramics.
Please note: Natural variation in glaze color, surface texture, or slight asymmetry are inherent characteristics of handmade ceramics and do not constitute defects.
We occasionally accept custom or commission orders on a case-by-case basis. Each custom arrangement is governed by a separate written agreement communicated by email, specifying the piece description, timeline, price, and any deposit terms.
Key points for custom orders:
Custom pieces are exempt from the right of withdrawal, as they are made to your individual specifications (pursuant to Art. 16(c) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU).
A non-refundable deposit may be required before work commences.
If you wish to cancel after work has begun, the deposit may be forfeited to cover materials and labour already invested. Please contact us as early as possible if your circumstances change.
Completion timelines are estimates. We will communicate any significant changes proactively.
